Lisa Domkat was born in Chicago and the family relocated to West Virginia early in her childhood, exposing her to both Bluegrass and Blues music at an early age. Always known as a “loud” child, people would say, “wow, she’s got a voice that just cuts through!” At age 12, she was the youngest member in the adult choir at church and was soon studying voice, piano, French horn and guitar. Nothing else held her attention like music. She went on to study Opera and graduated with a BFA in Vocal Music. After college she had a short but illustrious career in singing-telegrams, writing songs and portraying characters. It’s what she used to call “theater in the lap”. Eventually moving to San Diego and earning a living in telecom, Lisa sang with local rock bands in the area and helped to produce the annual fundraiser known as “Blues at Braille”. In 2015 she formed a Rock-Funk band called the “Dom Katz” but between rock gigs, she was nurturing her passion for the Blues by singing at open mic nights around town. In 2017, she formed Manzanita Blues with some of the talented, like-minded musicians whom she met along the way. Today, Manzanita Blues continues to thrive and is a constant source of joy for its members. Lisa is happily looking forward to going back into the studio to start work on their second album. “Our chemistry is great on stage and off, our music gets people dancing and our shows are a celebration. Simply put, Manzanita Blues is FUN! We have a blast and the energy is infectious. As a singer, making music with people you like and admire, it doesn’t get any better!”

Darrell Richardson was born and raised in San Diego where he attended Patrick Henry high school, (when there was no surf).
He began playing Harmonica while in the US Army and was hired by Armed Forces Entertainment services (AFES) to tour
EM, NCO and Officers clubs on American bases in Germany, with the R&B Band Train.
Played Country/ Rock with the Red Devils after the Army while still in Germany.
After returning to San Diego, he became affiliated with the East county bluegrass society and played in several local San Diego bands before becoming a founding member of Manzanita Blues. Darrell is fulfilling his dream of a life time to play the Blues and collaborate with musicians and friends in what Vox Magazine called “the best damn blues band in East County!” He’s looking forward to the second album and is really enjoying the ride.

Marc Silberman has been a music lover and an electronics guru his whole life. While studying engineering in Austin, Texas he discovered a passion for live music, and a special love for Rock and the Blues. Especially after seeing great artists up close like Stevie Ray and so many other artists from the Southwest.
After college, his passion for music paired with his knowledge of electronics compelled him to open his own audio installation and repair business, where he excelled at delighting his customers by fulfilling their high-end fidelity needs. He’s been helping everyone have great sound ever since. After relocating to San Diego in the 90’s, he feasted on all the music that SoCal had to offer. With his decades of experience maximizing sound systems, he started mixing sound for many of San Diego’s local artists and venues. In 2017 he became the sound engineer for Manzanita Blues where he’s been an intricate part of the band and their success. He takes great pride in achieving the best possible sound for the audience and can often be found sitting at various places around the venue to assure that everyone has an outstanding auditory experience.
